New York Fashion Week is always an overwhelming cornucopia of color, texture, people… and gossip. We’re here to sort through the clutter to point out the NYFW15 trends that you’re going to see on the street this spring. These looks will impact your day to day – both what you’re wearing on top, and what’s going on underneath.

Here are four New York Fashion Week FW15 trends that got our attention:

1. Sheer Translucence and Lace
Translucent fabrics and lace were everywhere on the catwalk – from extravagant lace gowns, to peek-a-boo strips of translucence, to slim cut all-lace pants. Take for example this delectable evening dress by Jason Wu. Who needs lingerie on the inside when you can wear it on the outside? Inspired? Look no further than Blush’s Allure Noire teddy in scintillating black mesh and lace.

2. 1970s Bohemians
Designers at NYFW this week were footloose and fancy free with fringe, bell bottoms, hippie shirts and ponchos in 1970s oranges and browns. Legs were long and hair was wild. Take in the free styles of Rebecca Minkoff as the pinnacle of the 1970s re-emerging on the catwalk: rock and roll groupie meets Upper West Side trophy bride. Looking to express your Bohemian side? 3. Rich, Rich Orange
The spring 2015 Pantone colors have been announced, with Marsala being one hue designers are very excited about. Of course NYFW was ahead of the curve… with rich red and orange tones everywhere – either as vivid highlights, or from head to toe, as showcased by Zac Posen and Opening Ceremony.

4. Decadent Fabrics

It wouldn’t be Fashion Week if it wasn’t decadent. We do love to adorn our bodies, be it in sparkly princess gown by Reem Acra, or with queen-worthy decadence, like Zac Posen’s resplendent red dress worn by Naomi Campbell. Get opulent with Blush’s Sweetest Sin bralette in smoke grey. After all, Oscar week is just around the corner…
