I saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus

Underneath the mistletoe last night

She wore a negligee in lace

And she smiled in his embrace

She didn’t see me peeping there, or

She would have lost her grace.

I saw mommy tickling Santa Claus

Underneath his white December beard

Then she said it was time to go-

And brushed his shoulder free of snow;

And off he went into that Christmas eve night!

(Version revised for The Blush Social.)

Whether it was Daddy in a Santa Claus suit, or single mom stealing a kiss from the man himself, the Mommy Kissing Santa Claus song brings forth the questions of naughty and nice in the adult world too! Poor children listening to this song, wondering if mommy would just fall in love with Santa.

This song was almost entirely banned by the church when it was released back in 1952 by 13-year-old Jimmy Boyd. The young boy explained it was just because mom and Santa got caught under the mistletoe together. Brought before the Archdiocese, it was pardoned.

We hope all your holidays are nice all around… and when naughty, full of spice!

May your holidays be full of laughter, love, lace and a little bit of mistletoe!
