Karl Lagerfeld’s “spoiled pussy cat” Choupette has published her own book!  Titled “CHOUPETTE  The Private Life of a High-Flying Fashion Cat” it reveals everything about the fashion feline’s luxury lifestyle – from her likes and dislikes to her favourite recipes and beauty regime.

The book includes Choupette’s exclusive photo shoots with Laetitia Casta and Linda Evanglista, alongside a multitude of pictures taken by “Daddy” Lagerfeld.  The book is completed with drawings, poetry, and photographs of literary cat-lovers including Ernest Hemingway, Truman Capote, Saul Steinberg, Dorothy Parker, and Edward Gorey.

Lagerfeld, head of design and creative director at Chanel got Choupette originally as a gift for Christmas 2011 from French male model Baptiste Giabiconi. Choupette’s first media appearance was made via Twitter @ChoupettesDiary on January 16, 2012,  when V magazine’s Stephen Gan tweeted a photo of her from Lagerfeld’s apartment.  With the launch of Choupette’s own Twitter account (authored by Ashley Tschudin) in June 2012 and multiple ‘interviews’ in high-end fashion magazines, her celebrity has grown, prompting Lagerfeld to remark “People are stunned by her … Soon people will talk more about Choupette than about me!”

In June 2013 Lagerfeld announced that he wished to marry Choupette. He said in an interview with CNN, “There is no marriage, yet, for human beings and animals… I never thought that I would fall in love like this with a cat.”

When we heard the news, we tweeted @ChoupettesDiary to give the fashion feline a little bit of Blush love <3
